eluna is made from 100% recycled glass.
Glass and nothing but glass!

eluna brings creative innovation and environmental sustainability to the building industry. Using glass bottles and float glass from the domestic and industrial waste stream, eluna provides ethical alternatives to natural stone, such as marble and granite, and man- made materials i.e. resin.

Using the ‘glassmaker’s curse’ (crystallization) as an advantage, the fusing of the cullet (chips of glass) during the kilning process creates a matrix with a fantastically strong bond – giving the glass bricks a compressive strength of up to 38 kN.
(A standard concrete paving slab has strength of 4 kN.)

Not only are the low carbon footprint, recycled glass bricks environmentally friendly, they are also extremely beautiful to both look at and touch. Using no additives, colour depends on the choice of glass selected, but opacity, finish and visual effects can be carefully controlled via the size of cullet selected and the kilning process.

Surfaces such as tiles, paviours, worktops, cladding facades and now also beautiful bricks to build walls are available in an expanded colour range. eluna offers a standard choice and bespoke solutions which can be produced as cast and polished forms to sizes up to 3 x 1 meter and to 20-50mm depth.

eluna products are extremely versatile and can be applied in the built environment; interiors, exteriors, building and landscape projects. Our clients include: Local Authorities, Property Developers, Housing Associations, Interior Designers, Architects, Artists as well as Private Clients.

eluna is produced by Green Bottle Unit LLP, based in Hackney, East London. Green Bottle Unit LLP was founded in 2000 by Free Form Arts Trust: www.freeform.org.uk
